What is The Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County?
The Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County is a member of Zonta International. It has been supporting women and girls for over 30 years through local service projects, scholarships, advocacy and fundraising.
Since 2001 our members have raised more than $300,000 to support community-based and international projects making a significant impact on the lives of women and girls. In addition to scholarships managed by ZI we have endowed the Bev Hackbart Scholarship to provide tuition support for a single parent attending the University of Colorado, Boulder.
In 2012 Zonta Foothills launched Zonta EducateZ to support at risk women and girls through education and empowerment. Zonta EducateZ works closely with the Boulder Valley Schools providing funds, advocacy, mentoring and other hands-on support to help close the achievement gap through literacy, college preparedness and basic life skills. We are also the proud sponsors of two BVSD Z Clubs which provide leadership and service opportunities for high school-aged girls at Arapahoe Ridge and Boulder High Schools.
