Zonta EducateZ

EducateZ logo Zonta EducateZ supports under resourced women and girls in Boulder County through education. All elements of the project help girls from preschool through college-aged with mentoring, leadership training, health and safety. We also support the continuing education of women struggling to start or continue their education towards GED, literacy and citizenship through our local and international scholarships.

Established in 2012 Zonta EducateZ is:

2016 Z Club inductions

  • The Boulder High School PantherZ Z Club  which encourages community service, develops leadership skills and provides mentors.
  • The Flatirons Golden Z Club for college-aged women. We meet monthly to provide mentors, develop leadership skills and work on projects that help the community.
  • Nine Free Lending Libraries at Arapahoe Ridge High School, the Boulder Valley Teen Parenting Program, Sister Carmen, EFAA, Community Food Share, Harvest for Hope Food Pantry, Safehouse, the Boulder County Justice Center  and other community locations in Boulder Country. These shelves are stocked with books for all ages from young child to adult providing free books to at risk women and their families.

  • Support of the Boulder Valley Teen Parenting Program with underwriting, mentoring and project volunteers.
  • Providing computers, school supplies and tuition support to enable women and girls to continue their education and job skills training.
  • The Zonta EducateZ Scholarship awarded to women either applying or returning to college or a professional school in order to improve their lives.
  • The Zonta Foothills Z Club Scholarship awarded to long-standing and high performing members of our Z Club program.
  • Awarding the Young Woman in Public Affairs Award to a high school women who has demonstrated leadership and a

Culture of Respect Campaign at Boulder High School vs Fairview High School basketball game.

The Culture of Respect Project working to bring a district-wide environment that ensures every girl feels safe in ANY class or school activity.

Zonta EducateZ works closely with the Boulder Valley Schools and other organizations to help close our achievement gap through literacy, college preparedness and basic life skills.  Together we are helping at risk girls believe in their success.
