Kay Meyer Inducted as Zonta District 12 Governor

Kay Meyer was inducted as Zonta District 12 Governor at the Zonta International Convention held in San Antonio, Texas. She was elected by delegates from Zonta clubs throughout Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana. She will hold the office for two years from July 2010 through June 2011. Kay has been an active valuable Zonta Foothills member for over fourteen years holding offices including President of Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County and, currently, Lt. Governor of District 12. We are all very proud to support her! Congratulations, Kay!

Beverly Sears Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award

Beverly Sears, a Zonta Foothills Club member since 1984, was honored by the Boulder Chamber in August 2009 with a Lifetime Achievement Award as part of the 14th Annual Women Who Light the Community Awards. Bev's life has been one of community service, education, mentoring and preservation. A former Boulder city councilwoman, Bev is also being honored for her work with the People's Clinic, Colorado Music Festival, Audobon Society, University of Colorado and Unitarian Universalist Church, among other things. Bev was nominated by Laura McCutchen, a fellow member of Zonta Foothills. Bev was honored at a luncheon at the Millennium Harvest House in Boulder on September 18, 2009.

Zonta Foothills Club of Boulder County Distinguished Service Award

In September 2011, Zonta Foothills honored Betty Cox with a Distinguished Service Award, recognizing her 40 years of membership in Zonta. Betty had served a member of the Zonta Club of Boulder County for 10 years before becoming a founding member of the club in 1982. Betty has served in countless leadership and service positions over the years, giving countless hours unfaiiling enthusiasm to the goals of the Club.
