Jay Wyshak

Jay is 66 years old, a retired Electronics Engineer from Boston, and a Boulder resident for nearly 20 years.  He began his love for the piano on his grandparents Steinway baby grand. As a toddler he’d sit at the keyboard trying to make music and soon his grandfather bought him a Steinway short upright; so he began taking weekly lessons. Jay was classically trained and loved playing pieces from Chopin to Mozart.

In high school he taught himself guitar and played both piano and guitar for bands in the area. By the time Jay got to college he’d played with many different players and assorted ‘rock’ bands.  Jay was an electronics engineer by profession, but the piano, guitar and entertainment remained his hobby.  His repertoire these days only consists of ‘popular’ music; he entertains at nursing homes and is currently in the process of assembling a show band.
