2023 JMK Scholarships

The Zonta Foothills Foundation is pleased to announce our 2023 Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship recipient.

Lauren Hanley is a recent CU Boulder graduate with a degree in International Affairs and a minor in Leadership Studies. She is excited to pursue her master’s in Business Analytics with a Marketing and Advertising specialization at the Leeds School of Business this fall. During her undergraduate studies, Lauren interned at several nonprofits, including Make-A-Wish and the United Nations Association of Boulder, where she focused on advocacy work for women and children, and worked on a successful Cities for CEDAW (Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women) campaign, encouraging the cities of Erie and Lafayette to lend their support.

Trisha Tyagi Receives Second Award

Our second place winner is Trisha Tyagi, a rising junior at CU Boulder who plans to pursue her MBA and work in the private equity sector. This is a field with very few female players, and Trisha had the privilege of interning at the Riverside Company in San Francisco (as the only female in attendance), following her participation in the Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program at the Wharton School of Business. In addition, she is President of the Leeds Student Government (LSG) at the Leeds School of Business. Trisha will receive a $2,000 award from our club.

Erin Johnson Received Third Award

Our third place award winner, Erin Johnson, will receive a $900 scholarship. Erin is an MBA candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder. She is also a Graduate Intern at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) where she specializes in international clean energy transitions under the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and NREL partnership, and leads the Women in Power System Transformation (PST) internship program to expand leadership opportunities for women in power system operations. Erin’s long-term career ambition is to emerge as a leader in the renewable energy industry who champions equitable renewable energy solutions across the globe.
