Meet our Zing for Zonta Stars!

“Zing for Zonta Boulder’s Got Talent” begins at 6 pm on Friday, March 22nd at Boulder’s Dairy Arts Center. Doors open at 6 pm and judged performances begin at 7 pm. Tickets are $75 per person.

These are the talented performers who will compete for two $500 prizes, the Judges Prize and the Fan’s Choice Award. Check out classical string duo Jesse Arnt and Kayla Uemura, comedian Braden Carlisle, a capella group the CU Buffoons, bailé folclórico group México Lindó, reggae/fusion band Skankin' Nation and violist Jonathan Phillips.

String duo Jesse and Kayla both attend Longmont High School and are principal players in St. Vrain Valley School District Honors Orchestra. Jesse, a junior has been playing the violin since he was 4 years old. His dream is to become a professional violinist. Kayla, a freshman, started playing cello two years ago after switching from viola to “try something new”. She hopes to major in classical performance after high school and likes to make music, read and sculpt in her free time.

Braden Carlisle

Comedian Braden Carlisle will perform an all-ages show full of magic, science, music and laughter. He performs his one-man show for over 20,000 people each year and travels across the US and Canada from his Colorado home. He loves bringing laughter & amazement to audiences as he motivates them to do good. Branden was Boulder Valley School's 2019 District Performer of the Year!

The CU Buffoons

They are the oldest a cappella group at the University of Colorado at Boulder, the CU Buffoons were established more than sixty years ago. The Buffoons repertoire is always expanding as group members write and arrange new songs. They perform upwards of 60 times a year and have traveled all across Colorado and beyond to share their music and irresistibly corny jokes.

México Lindó

This dance community for all ages, shows their love for bailé folclórico. They teach children and young adults dance to keep close to their roots. Their dance helps the community to remember how beautiful and important it is to keep their culture alive within their communities. They're excited to continue their dancing journey and hope to learn and grow together.

This 8-piece Colorado-based Reggae/Fusion band has great energy and good vibes! The band was born in 2023 from local Boulder area open mics and ads. They strive to spread a positive message and leave the audience feeling uplifted. A diverse group of multi-instrumentalists, they deliver a high-energy blend of reggae roots and contemporary grooves infused with ska, rock, jazz, world music, and a whole lot of joy, guaranteeing you’ll leave with a big smile.

Jonathan Phillips

Violist Jonathan Phillips began Suzuki violin studies in first grade, later switching to a viola. He has performed in collaboration with many musicians far and wide and explains: "I have taken my viola with me around the world because I love expressing myself through music and transporting my audiences to new places.”
